A citizen, Shivam Gupta, is urgently seeking a Police Report in the matter of land grabbing, which has become a serious concern in his community.
This is not just any land grabbing case; it involves a notorious Land Mafia that is exploiting vulnerable individuals by colluding with the local Police and the Department of Revenue, undermining the very essence of law and order.
The situation has escalated to alarming levels, creating an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty among the residents.
In an effort to shed light on the injustice, the New Lekhpal has submitted a comprehensive report detailing the factual position of the case.
This report outlines the various unlawful activities perpetrated by the Land Mafia and emphasizes the urgent need for intervention from authorities to protect the rights of the affected citizens and restore public trust in the system.

Urgent Police Report from the SSP Mirzapur: Land Grabbing and False Police Reports Exposed

A citizen, Shivam Gupta, is, understandably, distressed over alleged land-grabbing, a situation that has not only affected his sense of security but has also raised concerns about the integrity of property rights in his community.
Therefore, he has escalated the matter to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Mirzapur, hoping that higher authorities would take his claims more seriously and provide the necessary intervention.
This escalation, in fact, occurred after the official complaints were closed arbitrarily, leaving him feeling abandoned by the very system that is supposed to offer protection.
Furthermore, he describes these closures as being based on false and misleading police reports, which not only undermine his case but also reflect a troubling trend of negligence and inefficiency within the local law enforcement agencies.
As a result, he feels compelled to pursue this matter further, seeking justice and protection for his ancestral property, which holds significant emotional and historical value to him and his family, as well as ensuring that such unlawful actions do not continue to threaten other citizens’ rights in the area.

The Core of the Dispute inviting Urgent Police Report

The complaint registered under the number GOVUP/E/2025/0114233 raises serious concerns regarding an alleged effort to illegally seize ancestral Abadi land that has been part of the community’s heritage for generations.
This critical piece of land, belonging to the local residents, is situated at Araji Number 1240घ in Mirzapur.
The community has always relied on this land for their livelihoods, and the thought of losing it has understandably sparked outrage and fear among the residents.
Activists and concerned citizens demand a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this complaint, emphasizing the urgency to protect their rights and ancestral property.
It is crucial to address these allegations promptly to ensure that justice is served and to uphold the integrity of local governance in Mirzapur.

  • Complainant: Shivam Gupta (Mobile: 8756521496, Email: shivamgupta9307215205@gmail.com)
  • Property Location: Kakrahwa, Lohandi Road, Mirzapur City, PIN Code: 231001. Additionally, this location offers convenient access to various amenities.
  • Primary Alleged Offender: Kanhaiya Lal, son-in-law of Kishun Prasad, along with others.
  • Recent Encroachment Actions: Dumping of ballast/stones, erection of a temporary hut, and blocking of the family’s access path.

Previous Grievances and Contradictory Reports

Mr. Gupta states that he has faced unsatisfactory results in his attempts to resolve this issue through the official IGRS portal, highlighting his frustration with the lack of adequate support and transparency provided by the system; however, he alleges that the results not only lack the expected clarity but also show bias that suggests an unfair treatment of his grievances.
Furthermore, the authorities closed two prior grievances, GOVUP/E/2025/0073917 and GOVUP/E/2025/0049014, based on police reports that he asserts are, in fact, factually incorrect, leading him to question the integrity of the investigative process.
Mr. Gupta feels that the dismissal of his claims without a thorough review is not only a failure of duty but also reflects a systemic issue within the complaint resolution framework, leaving him feeling marginalized and unheard in a matter of significant personal concern.

Key Issues Highlighted in the Police Investigation:

  1. Contradictory Statements: The police reports revealed glaring inconsistencies. Officers initially identified Kanhaiya Lal as the offender (tying his cow). Later, the ASP’s office changed the name to Dinesh Kumar alias Deenu in a subsequent report. In larger public interest, Urgent Police Report needed.
  2. Lack of Site Inspection: The complainant alleges that the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Mirzapur, submitted reports without conducting a proper inspection. They claim that inspectors did not thoroughly examine the site. The team failed to perform an on-the-ground physical inspection of Araji No. 1240घ.
  3. Ignoring Official Revenue Evidence: Crucially, the police reports are accused of completely disregarding a detailed, three-page report from the Lekhpal (Reference No. 60000250197835) on the Jansunwai portal. This official revenue department document allegedly corroborates the complainant’s claims of illegal encroachment.

It is deeply concerning that such baseless reports are being accepted and used to close official grievances. This practice encourages the land grabbers. It undermines public trust in the police.

In light of it, Urgent Police Report needed.

Prayer for Urgent Action by the SSP

In his appeal to the SSP, Mr. Somen Verma, Mr. Gupta has laid out a four-point plan for immediate intervention to ensure justice:

  1. Registration of an FIR: Consequently, file a First Information Report (FIR) against Kanhaiya Lal and his associates. They are, in fact, accused of land-grabbing, obstruction, and criminal intimidation.
  2. High-Level Impartial Inquiry: Therefore, initiate an inquiry by an officer from a different jurisdiction to ensure fairness and impartiality. Moreover, it invites Urgent Police Report so act by focusing on it.
  3. Disciplinary Action: Take strict disciplinary action against the concerned Chowki in-charge. Also, discipline the other police personnel responsible for submitting the alleged false and fabricated reports.
  4. Immediate Removal of Encroachment: Therefore, make sure to remove the illegal hut immediately. In addition, clear stones and other encroachments from the ancestral land. Ultimately, this will restore the family’s peaceful possession.
