Right to information act 2005 was introduced by the government of India to promote transparency and accountability in the working of the public authorities but it has been quite obvious after 19 years from the date of implementation of this act no Public information Officer is entertaining the RTI application within 30 days.

    At least with the help of Right to Information act 2005 we could know how a sub inspector was promoted to assistant commissioner of police in the Government of Uttar Pradesh? Undoubtedly initially they denied the information but later there was no other way so they provided the information.
