Dear Sirs,
If my resignation brings this following changes in this country I would be very happy and I am very proud of my actions.
Our Focus must be made in improving the infrastructure and quality of our Indian institutions. Funds must be used in order to improve the quality of the research environment to the world standard. It should be ensured that the ‘best brains’ in the country choose research as a career option. As of now that is not the case. Because all you got reached professorship and enjoying the government funding in illegal ways. Because of you all, now the first choice of an IIT undergraduate or any central university student in most cases, would be either an Ivy League institution, a multinational corporation or a bank offering a six-digit pay cheque. This state of affairs needs to change. The best of students must be attracted to research at any cost; whatever steps initiated for this cannot go waste.
Research scholars constitute one of the underrated professional communities in India. Mostly they are being treated as slaves and used for slavery works in India. Animals hunt only when they hungry. But our professors are not. I have immense respect on poor people even they don’t have money for food but won’t go in illegal way to earn.
We are expected to venture into the unknown and given chicken feed for subsistence. In this backdrop, the decision of the Government of India to hike the fellowship amount for research scholars comes as a good baby step in improving the prevalent research atmosphere, which has not produced a Nobel laureate in science since Independence in the country.
Don’t believe anybody believe in yourself Mr. P. Balasubramanian.
Thanking you.

  1. Think about the gravity of situation that a whistle blower is being taken under pressure by terrorizing him through goons. What can be expected from the government whose corrupt staff not only abusing his position and rank for amassing huge wealth but also forming a group which is being used for terrorizing the whistle blowers . Whether this is not signal of anarchy and lawlessness in this vast democracy in the world where Hon'ble Prime Minister of India few days ago delivered election rhetoric on several places that if he will come to power constitutional provisions will be protected. Dark is going to deeper and deeper what is impact of whistle blower bill passed in our temple of legislation.
