CPIO OR PIO has to provide information within 30 days from the date of receipt of RTI Communique in its office and here two months passed so mockery of provisions of Right to INFORMATION Act 2005.

If there will be no fear of the penal action on the public information officers or the Central Public Information Officer then it would not be feasible to ensure the protection of the provisions of Right to Information act 2005. Think about the gravity of situation that if the recovery of the penalties of the Year 2017 in may be made then there will be surplus of 135 lakh rupees to the public exchequer. Here this question arises that why government functionaries are not recovering the imposed penalties from the Public Information Officers?

Right to Information Right to Information 2005
Right to Information act 2005 introduced by the government of India to promote transparency and accountability in the working of public authority but such arbitrary reply by the Public Information officers only created an Anarchy in the society and carry us far away from the good governance. I think that honest public functionaries must come forward so that it will proceed towards the good governance and provisions of The Right to Information act 2005 may be adequately safeguarded and section 20 of The Right to Information act 2005 must be applied in transparent and accountable manner so that Right to Information act 2005 may achieve its goal in transparent and accountable manner.
