Dear Dr. Kumar,
Thank you for your e-mail explaining the situation surrounding the paper Chem. Asian J. 2013, 8, 1551. Chemistry – An Asian Journal follows the Ethical Guidelines for Publication in Journals and Reviews as laid down by the European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences (EuCheMS; http://www.wiley-vch.de/euchems-ethics). In section 3, these describe authorship the following way:
“There is no universally agreed definition of authorship. As a minimum, authors should take responsibility for a particular section of the study. The award of authorship should balance intellectual contributions to the conception, design, analysis and writing of the study against the
collection of data and other routine work. If there is no task that can reasonably be attributed to a particular individual, then that individual should not be credited with authorship. All authors must
take public responsibility for the content of their paper. The multidisciplinary nature of much research can make this difficult, but this may be resolved by the disclosure of individual contributions.
From your comments, and also from the information I received from Prof. Nangia in this case, it is clear that your own contributions were instrumental in the study described in the paper in question. Thus, I see no justification for removing your name from the paper. Indeed, it would be a falsification of the scientific record to do so.
Regarding the contributions of the other two authors, both your comments and those of Prof. Nangia suggest that Dr. Rana was involved in preparing the manuscript for publication, and that the experiments were performed in Prof. Nangia’s group, indicating that he was responsible for the design of the study. Thus, the assignment of authorship to these two authors also appears well justified.
For these reasons, I see no reason to take any action in this case. The authorship of this paper will remain as it is currently listed.
Sincerely,
Theresa Kueckmann

Dear Editor,
Thank you for your mail. It may not be trivial matter for you to do that but its an important issue for me and not to involve with corruption and part of it. In that paper all the experiments were completed before the the arrival of second author. His role was to correct the manuscript and do modifications in the introduction part. The same role was also played by the corresponding author. When I did the complete experiments without any help of these twp authors. When I went for compiling my results Dr. Nangia corrected. He involved another author in that paper for just correction without my my concern. Either the author should correct their mistakes or else remove my name. According to me he should be in acknowledgment.
Reasons.
1. I have been deceived by two authors.
2. Threatened me if I tell the truth.
3. Disappointed with this non sense research of authorship distribution.
4.  No need to keep my name with culprits in the paper. It would be a shame to me and my scientific ethics.
If is not enough please send me the format to write everything. I request you to process this.
Thanking you,

Dear Dr. Kumar,
Thank you for your e-mail. It is not a trivial matter to remove an author’s name from a published paper. Indeed, this can only be done in extraordinary cases with well-documented reasons.
Please send an explanation of your reasons for wishing to be removed from the paper Chem. Asian J. 2013, 8, 1551 so that we can look into this case further.
Best wishes,
Theresa Kueckmann

  2. When we are ruled by thieves and robbers then how can we expect regard in this society. Every one knows that most of legislators in this country comes from criminal background and government machinery acts according to them.
