PIO, LDA is overlooking repeated notices of UPIC despite stern warning

A call was made. The ambivalent side is absent. It is clear from the perusal of the letter that the appellant has not been provided with the desired information in the short term of his original application. Notice dated 19.07.2024 was issued by the Commission to the respondent/Public Information Officer. It is clear from the tracking report of the notice that the notice sent by the Commission has been received by the respondent Public Information Officer on 22.07.2024, yet the respondent neither provided the information to the appellant nor appeared in the hearing today.

Therefore, in the interest of justice, the respondent shall be appointed as the Public Information Officer/Public Information Officer. The office of Lucknow Development Authority, Lucknow is directed to transmit to the appellant the entire information of his original application through registered post to the known address of the appellant within a period of two weeks and to appear before the Commission along with a copy of the information and proof of transmission on the next date of hearing and explain the conditions. In the event of otherwise, why not impose a fine of Rs.250/- per day under Section 20(1) of the Act for intentionally not giving full information and not complying with the previous orders of the Commission.

Appear for next hearing on 04.10.2024 for appeal.
