Received By Ministry/Department- Uttar Pradesh

Grievance Description- Station house officer police station Vindhyachal is failed to provide justice to women and girls because he has been habitual not to register first information report of victims if belong to the vulnerable section. Police in Mirzapur district says that if a victim wants to get justice then she must take shelter in the court of law because justice is not available through police in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Superintendent of police district Mirzapur must tell the applicant if the Vindhyachal police took the application of the applicant then why has Vindhyachal police not mentioned the name of the applicant in the non cognizable report.

The public information officer in the office of Director General of Police government of Uttar Pradesh must provide the following information to the information seeker point wise as follows.

1- Public information officer in the office of Director General of police must provide the government orders, circulars and office memos which allow a station house officer not to mention the name of the main victim in a non-cognizable report or first information report. Please take a glance of the attached PDF document to this rti online application for the more description.

2- The applicant was mercilessly beaten by the offenders and belonging to the vulnerable section but her first information report has not been registered even when the applicant suffered serious injuries like hand bone fracture and serious injuries on the forehead, quite obvious from the attached certificate of the government hospital.

Station house officer Police station Vindhyachal Mirzapur advised the applicant to take shelter in appropriate court of law and police cannot do anything in favour of the victim.

Public information officer in the office of Director General of police must provide the government orders, circulars and office memos which is making station house officer Police station Vindhyachal Mirzapur powerless/teethless to take action against offenders in order to provide justice to women and girls including applicants.

3- Whether the government of Uttar Pradesh has passed any order which prohibits

vulnerable sections of society especially women and girls to register a first information report in a nearby police station for justice. Whether Govt of Uttar Pradesh has revoked the provision of law which provides justice to the aggrieved who are assaulted by the offenders in cases of criminal matters.

Please provide the copy of the legislation if any such legislation exists in the government of Uttar Pradesh.

4- Right to reason is an indispensable part of the sound administrative system so please provide the reason for not registering the first information report of the applicant against offenders by the station house officer police station Vindhyachal district Mirzapur.

5- Please provide the reason if Station House officer police station Vindhyachal district Mirzapur had not to register first information report of the information seeker then what was the reason to carry out medical test of the information seeker in community health centre vindhyachal.

Public information officer in the office of Director General of police, government of Uttar Pradesh must provide the required documents to the information seeker within a stipulated 30 days as prescribed under subsection 1 of section 7 of the right to information act 2005.

Comments

  1. Think about the gravity of situation name of the main victim is not mentioned in the any required after police station. Besides this police is claiming to take action on the representation of Mahima Maurya. Whether it is not reflecting an anarchy in the working of the police.

  2. Generally seen that Yogi claims that crimes against women has servely declined in his regime but how will it not decline if first information report of vulnerable section of the society will not be registered by the police of the Yogi government. We want good governance in transparent and accountable manner not by not registering the first information report of the people in state as being done by the Yogi government.

  3. There is no justice for women and girls in the regime of Yogi Adityanath which is quite obvious from the fact that first information report has not been registered by the concerned police in the matter in which a woman was mercilessly beaten by the offenders.
