Prayer- Public information officer of Nagar Nigam Prayagraj returned the RTI application on the flimsy ground that it does not concern with Nagar Nigam and when matter explained before first appellate authority then he did not take any action. The matter concerns the wilful denial of information by public information officer so action must be taken against him under section 20 of the right to information act 2005 and disciplinary proceedings must be initiated against the first appellate authority for colluding with the public information officer in denying information.

1-     Most respected Sir the appellant submitted the RTI application on 23^rd July 2024 On the public information officer returned it on first August 2024 which is quite obvious from the following status of the submitted online rti application.

2-     From the following status of the submitted RTI first appeal, it is obvious that the appellant submitted the appeal on 29^th August 2024 which was forwarded to the concerned first of a late authority on 3^rd September 2024.

3-It is most unfortunate that nodal Officer of the department did not provide the details of the Public Information Officer on the RTI portal of the Government of India which is tantamount to indiscipline as well as he had to provide the name and designation along with the official mobile number of the first appellate authority but unfortunately not provided which is a violation of the direction issued by the ministry of the department of administrative reform government of Uttar Pradesh.

4-Umesh Kumar son of late Lal Bahadur resident of Chilh police station Chilh district Mirzapur is the Supervisor in the office of municipal Corporation district-Prayagraj.

It is noticeable that this person was appointed as sanitation/ Safal staff/karmchari but now he has been promoted to the supervisor in the Nagar Nigam Allahabad now known as Prayagraj.

6-It is quite obvious that the forged documents were used in order to manage the selection in the department which is the root cause concerned are not reaching to the person under enquiry of the applicant.

It is highly objectionable that concerned staff of the Nagar Nigam Prayagraj did not take the perusal of the second page of the attached PDF document which contains the photograph of the person under enquiry of the applicant and PIO denied the request of the RTI application on a baseless and false ground.

This is a humble request of your appellant to you Hon'ble Sir that how can it be justified to withhold public services arbitrarily and promote anarchy, lawlessness, and chaos arbitrarily by making the mockery of law of land? There is need of the hour to take harsh steps against the wrongdoer to win the confidence of citizenry and strengthen the democratic values for healthy and prosperous democracy. For this, your appellant shall ever pray for you, Hon’ble Sir.
