* Prayer or Relief Sought From the status of the following online RTI application, it is quite obvious that the appellant submitted the online RTI application on 8th August 2024 Which was forwarded to the concerned public information officer on 13th August 2024 which means more than one month and one week passed because it is a 18th September 2024 today. It is most unfortunate that the public information officer did not entertain the online RTI application still. Thus we see that the public information officer violated subsection 1 of section 7 of the right to information act 2005 so action must be taken against the public information officer under disciplinary proceedings for violating the provisions of RTI Act 2005.

Right to information act 2005 was introduced by the government of India to promote transparency and accountability in the working of the public authorities so that growing corruption in public offices may be curbed but such reluctant approach of the public information officers to provide information to information seekers is only demoralising the information seekers and there is uncertainty in achieving the goal of right to information act 2005. How will transparency and accountability be fixed in the offices of the public authorities if public information officers will withhold the sought information from the information seekers?
Here this question arises that whether the public information officer Hemant Kumar tehsildar Sadar does not know the time to provide information to the information seekers and if he does not know then he had to take the perusal of the submitted online RTI applications in which it has been categorically mentioned that information had to be provided within 30 days as prescribed under subsection 1 of section 7 of the right to information act 2005 but he did not pay heed to the contents of the RTI application.
This is a humble request of the appellant to the most respected sir to direct the public information officer to provide information to the appellant as well as initiate disciplinary proceedings against the public information officer for violating the provisions of right to information act 2005.
