* Prayer or Relief Sought From the following status of the submitted RTI application before public authority office of director General of police lucknow on 29th July 2024 by the appellant, it is quite obvious that this RTI application was transferred by the office of Director General of Police Lucknow on the same date to the public authority police zone Varanasi and public information officer of police zone Varanasi transferred the RTI application to the superintendent of police district Ballia on the same date. It is quite obvious that voluminous pages with numbers 68 attached by the public information officer in the office of Superintendent of police which are error pages generally found on the Internet which is a mockery of the provisions of right to information act 2005 by the public information officer on 29th August 2024. I have attached the first three pages out of 68 pages of the attached error pages by the public information officer on the RTI portal with this appeal.

PIO Details
In Ballia of Uttar Pradesh, the joint action of ADG and DIG in the case of illegal extortion from trucks created panic in the police department. The officials raided the Narhi area at night and caught many policemen and brokers involved in the extortion on the spot. During this, some bribe-takers managed to escape. After this incident, the Yogi government transferred the SP and Additional SP of Ballia on Thursday. Also, the Deputy SP (Sadar) was suspended. Not only this, orders were also given for a vigilance inquiry of the property of the accused policemen involved in this extortion scam i.e. CO, SHO, outpost in-charge and others.
Right to information act 2005 was introduced by the government of India to promote transparency and accountability in the working of the public authorities so that growing corruption in the government machinery may be controlled but it is most unfortunate that in this matter of deep rooted corruption, concerned public information officer is not providing information under right to information act 2005.
This is a humble request of the appellant to the most respected sir to direct the public information officer in the office of superintendent of police to provide information to the information seeker at the earliest as well as initiate disciplinary proceedings against the public information officer for misleading the appellant by attaching 68 error pages in the form of information which is a mockery of the provisions of RTI act 2005.
