* Prayer or Relief Sought From the following status of the RTI application submitted online by the appellant, it is quite obvious that the appellant submitted RTI application on 20th November 2023 which has been disposed of by the public information officer district development officer Mirzapur on 5th of February 2024 which means more than two and half months passed. District development officer Mirzapur disposed of the RTI application with the comment that RTI application has been transferred under subsection 1 of section 6 of the right to information act 2005 to block development officer development block-Chhanvey, district Mirzapur to collect information When block development officer will make available information to him then he will provide the information to the appellant. It is quite obvious that district development officer could not provide information to the appellant in two and a half months which is violation of the subsection 1 of section 7 of the right to information act 2005 which categorically states that public information officer has to provide the information to the information seeker within a stipulated 30 days but here concerned public information officer did not provide the information in two and half months and arbitrarily disposed of the RTI application. This is tantamount to wilful denial of the information to the appellant by the public information officer which must be taken into account by the concerned first appellate authority.
