* Prayer or Relief Sought From the following status of the submitted online RTI application, it is quite obvious that the appellant submitted the online RTI application on 5th August 2024 which was forwarded by the nodal officer to the concerned public information officer on the same date and it is 16th September 2024 today. This implies that one month 12 days passed but the concerned public information officer did not entertain the RTI application of the appellant which is the violation of subsection one of section 7 of The Right to information 2005 and it must be taken into account by the first appellate authority of the public authority.

Right to information act 2005 was introduced by the government of India during the regime of Congress to promote transparency and accountability in the working of the public authorities, but it is most that public information officers of the government do not know what is the time limit to provide the information to the information seekers under Right to information act 2005 after 19 years from the date of implementation of the Right to information act 2005.
It is quite natural that the motive to bringup Right to information act 2005 was to promote transparency and accountability so that growing corruption in the government machinery could be controlled but there is manifold increase in corruption in the working of public authorities nowadays.
Think about the gravity of the situation if tehsildar Sadar district Mirzapur is not providing information concerning the working of the lekhpal, then think about how the matter concerning the working of the tehsildar sadar and sub divisional magistrate Sadar will be provided to the information seekers?
This is a humble request of the appellant to the most respected sir to provide the information to the information seeker by issuing the appropriate directions to the public information officer as well as initiate disciplinary proceedings against public information officer for violating the provisions of Right to information act 2005.
