Grievance Description

This is a humble request of the applicant to the concerned accountable staff to take a glance of the attached photographs with this representation of the applicant which are showing the precarious situation of waterlogging in mohalla Surekapuram colony district Mirzapur city area.

It is quite obvious that waterlogged in Surekapuram colony because of the carelessness of the staff of the municipality Mirzapur City. This is not the first complaint of the applicant regarding the choked drainage in Surekapuram colony and in earlier grievances you said that you have cleaned the drainage but the fact is that huge water is logged in the first rain of this season.

It is quite abuse that there is no control over the staff of the municipality Mirzapur City because of the mismanagement in the working of the executive officer.

Here are few precautionary measures which must be taken into account by the staff of municipality to ensure the cleanness of the drainage which are chocked.

Identify the Blockage: Check for visible debris or obstructions in the drainage system. Leaves, mud, and other debris can often cause blockages.

Clear the Debris: Use a garden trowel or a similar tool to remove any debris. If the blockage is deeper, you might need a plumber’s snake or a high-pressure hose to clear it.

Improve Drainage: Consider installing a French drain or a gravel-filled trench to help direct water away from the area1.

Aerate the Soil: If the soil around the drainage area is compacted, use a garden fork or aerator to create holes. This will help improve water flow and prevent future waterlogging2.

Add Organic Matter: Mixing compost or sand into the soil can improve its structure and drainage capacity1.

Regular Maintenance: Regularly check and clean your drainage system to prevent future blockages.
