MS activation/deactivation can be done through various options.

 

Customer also can do SMS activation/ De-Activation by sending an SMS from registered mobile number. Customer should send the following SMS to 8422009988 from his registered mobile number:

 

To De-Activate :

 

Format of SMS: DEACT<space><last 4 digits of account no>

Example: DEACT 1234

Acknowledgment SMS: Your request for de-activation of SMS alert service is successfully processed

 

 

To Activate :

Format of SMS: ACT<space><last 4 digits of account no>

Example: ACT 1234

Acknowledgment SMS: Your request for activation of SMS alert service is successfully processed

 

 

If transaction meets eligibility criteria and Account is Active for SMS, but customer doesn’t receive transaction SMS, then you are advised to follow the below trouble shooting steps:

 

• Clear all old messages from same sender ID (BOBTXN, BOBSMS, BOBOTP etc.) if any.

• Ensure enough space in mobile to receive new messages

• Restart mobile once (Switch off for at least 20 seconds and switch on again)

• Ensure enough network coverage after restart

• Dial our missed call service number 8468001111 / 8468001122. Ensure that the call gets connected properly when the number is dialled (i.e. the customer should get ring tone at least once).

• If response SMS is received, advise the customer to do a fresh transaction in ATM and check for SMS.

Undoubtedly you have provided a solution after making an inquiry regarding the bank account of the aggrieved but it failed to provide any reprieve to the revered lady.  More details and consistent documents are attached to the grievance.   Mr Vinay Kumar Prajapati ji Uma Singh is currently living at Muscat in Oman with her son. S,M,S., alerts being sent on her registered mobile number attached with her bank account are not being sent and thus feedback regarding family pension of the last month which did not reach her. Current status of the bank account is not available to her.
Please provide your comment regarding the close of SMS alert services mandatory for banks to make available to customers for security of account under guidelines of the Reserve bank of India.

If pension is stopped, then also provide reason and its cure which may be accessible to the aggrieved lady at Muscat in Oman.

Customer should send the following SMS to 8422009988 from his registered mobile number: Instead of redressing the grievance, concerned branch manager told the mechanism to activate and deactivate the sms services on the registered mobile number which means he is entertaining the complaints submitted by the applicant consequently not redressing properly because of fear that the applicant will not make complaint if the grievances will be redressed by the branch manager quite obvious from his procrastination.
