Financial Services (Banking Division) >> Misbehaviour/Harrassment/Corruption by Bank Staff

Bank/Financial Institute : Bank of India
Branch / Name of Bank and Branch : Bank of India Wellesely Ganj District Mirzapur
-----------------------
Earlier you received communication dated 05 Sept 2021 and you denied to accept any representation from widow Vidya Devi. Just as the aggrieved applicant received the communication of the branch manager Bank of India, on 16 December 2021, applicant reached the branch office wellesley ganj, Bank of India, District-Mirzapur. It is most unfortunate that the gate of the branch office of the Bank of India, Mirzapur was closed. It was 12 O Clock at noon. My mother Vidya Devi was also with me. I made enquiries to nearby shopkeepers; they told me the bank will open on Monday as the entire staff of the bank is on strike. My mother had come to city by travelling 37 kilometre and she could not stay in the city for four days in the waiting of the resumption of Bank work and there was uncertainty because unions were challenging the government to keep at ransom the consumer services for longer duration which might be greater than the agitation of the farmers. As I have already told you that my mother is a heart patient living under medication under the direction of an expert cardiologist belonging to Allahabad / Prayagraj. Consequently, I preferred to send the representation through a speed registered post. Instead of returning Surekapuram at home, we went to Head post office Fataha where a mammoth gathering of the people for registration were congregated at the window and one and half hour later in the queue, I reached the window to do speed post. This speed registered post received by the staff of the Bank of India on 18 December 2021 is quite obvious from the speed post tracking on the website of the department of Post India which is attached to this representation. I pray before the Honourable Sir that the original representation was in two pages and 10 pages annexure as detail available in PDF form. Everyone knows that such procrastination is an integral part of corrupt activities, nothing else, so please do not harass a 75 years old lady. Government itself provides a huge

Again you gave me a cryptic reply. All the documents submitted are colour copies of the original document and each document is fully legible. Whether an applicant has no right to submit its application through a post which is a government department. Second representation sent by the speed registered post is quite obvious from the attached document to the grievance. Most respectfully sheweth that 1-Aggrieved submitted second representation through department of post but branch manager concerned did not entertain this signed representation of the aggrieved applicant Vidya Devi as well. 2-It is most unfortunate that it is quite evident that the branch manager concerned did not respond in regard to the signed application of the Vidya Devi as received by his office on 18 December 2021 is quite obvious from the speed post tracking. 3-It is quite obvious that the second signed application of the aggrieved Vidya Devi, he/ branch manager can not deny so overlooking quite obvious from his corrupt and cryptic reply. 4-Instead of talking about the prescribed format, he should tell the lacunae of the submitted application so that it can be sorted out. Whether he will tell what is required of the prescribed format of the bank of India? Photocopy of Death Certificate original shall be verified by the bank. KYC details of the legal heir Account details of the Claimant. Sir, aggrieved has submitted maximum documents and long struggle by the aggrieved applicant and procrastination on the part of branch manager only reflects corruption and tyranny in the working of the bank. The Branch manager may be directed to fix the date to appear in person for the aggrieved Vidya Devi and list of the document he actually wants to verify with the original. Applicant demands transparency and accountable dealings in the working of the branch manager.
